Scope and Content

The cash book records receipts and disbursements. Receipts include rents, sales of plants and timber, interest, ticket sales, and gate money, Disbursements include wages, insurance, legal charges, income tax, sundry goods, donations to other charities and societies; show expenses such as judges' fees, stationery, room hire, and accountants' fees. The entries in the cash book reveal changes in the function of the Society during the 20th century.

There is note on the first page that the balance was transferred from the "old cash book (3)".
