This file contains photographic print and two paper items. The items are press releases relating to the photograph. The first is entitles COOPERATIVE EDUCATION EXPERT ASSIGNED TO CEYLON BY ILO" and relates to Loveridge's assignment under the International Labour Office's programme for technical assistance and social development, for three months from 23 Oct 1952. Loveridge was to make recommendations to the Ceylon Government for developing co-operative education. Loveridge was education officer for North East England for the Co-operative Union. The second, repeats the information but says Loveridge is now en route. The image shows Loveridge shaking hands with William Yalden-Thomson [Chief of operations of the International Labour Office]before he travelled to Ceylon. Stood between them is GN Lamming [Chief of co-operation and handicraft service]. Black and white. Location of subject: Geneva.
