Material pertaining to the employment of Alexander Brown, a Mill clerk for Andrew Yule and Co., who lived in Calcutta with his wife between 1946 and 1963.

This project was initiated by the History Department in 1993, with the purpose of providing a picture of the lives of Scottish people employed in India prior to the 1960’s, by inviting those with any relevant material to donate the material to the University.The material is made up of photocopies of originals.
