  • /2 18 Aug [1930], expects to have photo of T F Tout [to be used in a publication]; moving house shortly.
  • /3 14 Sep 1930, sent her preface to "Margaret" [Sharp, MT's daughter], make changes as required; encloses photo. Her recent illness.
  • /4 17 Sep [1930], preface and proofs of Tout's work (Collected Papers).
  • /5 26 Sep 1930, concerning Miss Broome's work.
  • /6-9 8 Oct 1930, a new edition of Edward II to be edited by Hilda [Johnstone - Margaret Tout's sister].
  • /10 16 Apr 1931, personal news, Carl Stephenson's [1886-1954, American historian] praise for Tait's work on borough history, and said like to meet him.
  • /11 16 Mar 1934, thanks for copy of second volume of Tout's Collected Papers, thanks Tait for his "immense amount of work"; publication of Tout's Messenger lectures [delivered at Cornell university, 1927/8], which Margaret [her daughter] had edited. Describes her sojourn in Minneapolis, noting the "seriousness of the youth" in U.S.
  • /12 25 Jan 1943, personal details, meeting A J Grant, whose London home has been bombed; death of William Arthur Shaw (1865-1943).
  • /13 18 Jun 1944, her grandson's birthday; commiserates on recent accident; meetings with the Stentons at a honorary degree ceremony at Manchester; her daughter's teaching post.
  • /14 Tait's notes on Anselm's letters etc. [not clear why these were filed with Tout correspondence].
