Olivier Archive. Vol. DXXXV (ff. ). Letters and papers relating to the Stratford production of Titus Andronicus taken on a European tour in 1957, returning to the Stoll Theatre for a short season July-August 1957; 1955-1958. The tour was made under the auspices of the British Council and the management of the Shakespeare Memorial Theatre on behalf of the St. James’s Players, with contracts with Laurence Olivier Productions for the acting services of Olivier and Vivien Leigh. Includes correspondence inviting Olivier to act in the play, and to take part in functions elsewhere as part of, or following, the tour.
