Scope and Content

Book of antental record forms of an unidentified midwife practising in Norwich, Norfolk (31 May 1941-27 January 1947), recording the name, age and address of each patient, the date of booking, expected date of confinement and details of previous pregnancies and labours, as well as the progress of their current pregnancy and remarks on their home conditions, also including a pelvic measurements and the results of routine medical examinations, together with notes on their subsequent labour and the condition of the infant.
