Case book of Beryl Vince

Scope and Content

Ms pupil case book, including notes, tables and charts, completed of Beryl Vince in the course of her training to become a midwife at St. Mary's Hospital (23 April 1953-22 January 1955), recording the pregnancy history, religion and husband's occupation of each patient that she attended, alongside detailed descriptions of each stage of their labour and puerperium, including any drugs that were administered, as well as the condition of the child, the postnatal care provided and the date of discharge.

Beryl Vince (fl. 1940-1960) was a student midwife at St. Mary's Hospital between 1953 and 1955.
