Scope and Content

This copy of The Christian Life and Unitarian Herald focuses less on the Van Mission than the previous copy but it does have several pieces on the spread of Unitarianism in India, Germany, Italy, Hungary, France, Bulgaria, the USA, Japan, China, Sweden and elsewhere. It also features pieces on women within Unitarianism, and the place of education within the faith. The sole piece on the Van Mission is written by T.P Spedding himself, and notes that the novelty of the work of the Mission has passed, but he begs readers to remember that it is the only Mission of its kind for 'liberal religion', and that it had held over 3000 meetings and had reached 950,000 people by this point.
