Jekyll encloses a plan [plan not present] for Brand’s flower borders and a suggestion for the dry walling; she proposes using iris, Clematis flammula, delphinium, tiger lily, gladiolus ‘Marechal Foch’, calendula ‘Orange King’ or ‘Prince of Orange’ and dahlia; she recommends Barr and Sons as a supplier for some items; she proposes a method of marking the beds with pegs to correspond with markers on the plan to enable the correct positioning of plants; for the dry walling she suggests dwarf lavender, gypsophila, centranthus, rosemary and China rose
