Administrative / Biographical History

The South Wales and Monmouth Colliery Winding Enginemen`s Association and Provident Trade Union was formed in 1896. It consisted of 6 lodges, with the head office at Trehafod. In 1930 it had 800 members. It was dissolved in 1949.
