Company incorporated on 30 Dec 1884 . The company was formed to grow and export tea from the Sylhet or Srimongel regions of the now present day Bangladesh. The company business activity also includes the growing of cereals (except rice), leguminous crops and oil seeds. Quoted until acquired by Bangladeshi interests in the late 1970s.
