Letter from Henry Thomas Colebrooke to Belinda Sutherland Colebrooke, 23 September 1819

Scope and Content

Letter from Henry Thomas Colebrooke to Belinda Sutherland Colebrooke. He thanks her for her letter and says that he is travelling on to Bath from Salisbury that noon where he will receive her other letters. He hopes that Edward has not had a return of fever and agrees she should not send the Cash until she has Dr Nicholas's notice to receive him. He claims that Edward is much too extravagant and in the postscript writes more about how to handle him. He writes about the difficult situation in Glasgow and suspects it will not be resolved without a sharp contest. Handwritten, dated 23 September 1819.
