Administrative / Biographical History

RAP Ltd, the workers co-operative, grew out of a decision in 1973 by those involved in publishing RAP (Rochdale's Alternative Paper). They felt it necessary to control the means of their own production to ensure both financial survival and independence. The co-operative printed and published newspapers, magazines, books, and pamphlets with labour movement sympathies.
