Letter from Robert Owen to James Rigby

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter informing Rigby that he is pleased with his arrangements for a public meeting and says that it will be a good preliminary meeting to Owen's on the 14th May. Owen says that he intends to give no quarter to the old system.

Owen goes on to say he has sent letter to the peace Conference in Paris and has promised to send them pamphlets.

Owen concludes by saying that the Colonel from 12 Cecil Street has just arrived but he does not know what to make of him yet.
