Letter from Robert Owen to James Rigby

Scope and Content

In this manuscript letter Robert Owen informs Rigby that he has written to the editor of the Times newspaper regarding his refused advertisement. He asks Rigby to copy the letter he sent to Times and forward it to any newspaper in which his advertisement has appeared or may appear explaining that the Times has rejected him and that he forwards the letter with a view to obtain the real cause why such an advertisement was refused from one who had even advocated the cause of suffering humanity without regard to class.
