Letter from Robert Owen to James Rigby

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter which starts with Owen telling Rigby he wants a dozen copies of the developments and directs him where to send them. Owen says that he was amused by Rigbys conversation with the gentleman from Downing Street and suggests if they have so many friends in the Government departments they will be mistaken for Conservaties. But he says that his no.7 Gazette will change this view.

Owen concludes the letter by telling Rigby how many copies of no.5 and 6 Gazette he requires.
