Manuscript letter informing Rigby that he has enclosed a dozen stamps but should have sent them earlier. He goes on to discuss his shock of the news that a woman named Ms Gresham has died and how it will take a while to recover from the news. He then writes that Mr Gresham has left Dublin and is on his way to London to visit Mr Hartley who is a good friend of his. He sympathizes with Mr Barrow. Pare says that if Mrs Barrow was alive then she would have converted to their views. He asks Rigby if he has thought of emigrating to California. At the end of the letter he discusses the rainy weather in England. Finally he asks Rigby for his news and expresses his delight at receiving his letters.
