Letter from Robert Owen to James Rigby

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter discussing the distribution of Owen’s Congress proceedings. Owen says they are not yet ready to go with Mr Millam’s packet and this must be deferred until the 17th June. Owen goes on to enquire whether or not The Times inserted their advertisement and if Lord Brougham presented their petition [to the House of Commons?].

Owen goes on to say that Robert Cooper and George Jacob Holyoake should advertise the petitions, addresses and memorials. Owen concludes by saying he has been busy all day and is too tired to work anymore that night.
