Letter from Robert Owen to James Rigby

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter asking Rigby to take copies of his publications to a Mr Fox and ask him to present Owen’s petition to the House of Commons.

Owen goes on to tell Rigby not to be surprised by the conduct of any man as thet have been trained + hired + live in a system of gross insanity + they cannot keep themselves out of it.

Owen tells Rigby that Mr Cotter will be sending various publications to Owen and lists who he wants him to send them to.Owen concludes by saying that the Illustrated London News that was sent to him has pages missing and he wants Rigby to send him a perfect copy.
