Scope and Content

Manuscript letter informing Rigby that Owen’s Proclamation is too long for a placard. He goes onto say that the papers mentioning his measures in any way will be useful.

Owen goes on to refer to an article in the previous day’s Times. Owen says he forgives them for it and in consequence he has sent an advertisement to Dr Travis to go to The Times. Owen says: The Times has fired the great gun announcing the downfall of the old system. The advertisement sent to Dr tonight is to declare myself a candidate for the City of London.

Owen says he will send more money to Rigby but his funds will soon be empty.
