Letter from Robert Owen to James Rigby

Manuscript letter which Owen begins by telling Rigby that the New Existence was for Jenny Lind and that Rigby should write to her and advise her on the [new] system.

Owen says that the Daily Telegraph has had two of his articles for some time and have not published them. He feels that they may be too strong for the readers and asks Rigby to retrieve them and give them to Dr [Travis]. They will be made into a pamphlet of tracts in preparation for the Congress of the Reformers of the World.

Owen tells Rigby that the visit to New Lanark will now come in the proper time He concludes by saying he has 14 letters to answer and Rigby's is the first.
