Letter from Robert Owen to James Rigby

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter asking Rigby to give to Mr Offord [of the Shaker Society] the works he has massed. He also asks him to tell Mr Offord how to visit Owen by omnibus. Owen says he has his books in his possession so that he can read the views of his society before he comes.

Owen goes on to say that Mr Cotter may be usefully employed in addressing the surplus numbers of the Gazette. Owen goes on to list the people and groups they should be sent to.

Owen closes the letter by saying he is continuing to write for the Gazette and thinks his mission will be complete in one or two numbers. He will then begin to write his life.
