Letter from Robert Owen to James Rigby

Scope and Content

In this manuscript letter Robert Owen informs James Rigby that his baskets of letters and provisions will not be coming as usual from Cox's Hotel. He will thus require them to be sent in a different way to suit his purpose.

He continues to arrange print and delivery of pamphlets and of the address and legacy, copies of which he intends to send to America.

He then says that he has just been informed that the basket will be delivered from Cox's Hotel as expected on Saturday but not so after that, and so suggests that Mr Cox has any papers he wishes to send to America, to send them with the basket.

He inquires whether Lord Henry Brougham has received his copies of the no.2 pamphlet and the address and legacy, and asks when Mr William Pare is coming to London.
