Letter from Robert Owen to James Rigby

Scope and Content

In this manuscript letter Robert Owen informs James Rigby that he has also received an invitation from the Council to attend a meeting the next day. Due to lack of late coaches in the winter, he will have to get one at half past eight in the morning and hopes to be at Adam Street, Adelphi Strand, by half past eleven. He hopes to see Rigby at the meeting.

He continues to remind Rigby that he has previously had his doubts about a certain David Richmond and that he had been turned out of the Shaker Society after they learned of Owen's doubts about him.
