Letter from Robert Owen to James Rigby

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter informing Rigby that Mr and Mrs Finch have been to visit him. Owen asks Rigby to send two full sets of the [Millenial] Gazette for Finch and the Minister of the New Free Church in Liverpool.

Owen goes on to say that if a consolidated vision of the trades of England and Wales could be established, and a federative union between them and the trades of Scotland and Ireland they would be doing good service to the general permanent cause of humanity. Owen suggests this could then be spread to Europe and America and begin the commencement of federative treaties between all governments + peoples to change the present false + evil for the true + good system of society over the world.
