The author writes that he is pleased to have received the commands of Lord Burlington [Richard Boyle, 3rd Earl of Burlington] via the letter from Colonel Dormer. He writes that there are no horses of such a great size in Poland but there may be in Prussia and that he will write to the King of Prussia's first [genyer] about it. He suggests Lord Burlington send his gentleman of the horse to Liepzig before the fair and obtain the help of Monsier Betlzold a banker. He expects to receive orders to return home shortly. He sends compliments to Lord Burlington, Lord Lonsdale, his two brothers and Mr Kirk and all friends. Written from Dresden. Signed 'R. Vernon'.
