This copy, leaving everything to the Queen's husband, the King, is signed by the Queen "Caroline R". And witnessed by "E. Dorset", "Grantham" and "R. Eyre" and enclosed with it is a separate note that reads: "The Queen's Will delivered to me by the Lord Chief Justice Eyre, 1st July 1727".

This copy was probably originally kept at Compton Place amongst the papers there. A note in the 1920 catalogue for those papers remarks that the will of Queen Caroline was handed by the agent there (U R Burke) to the Duke of Devonshire in 1916.
