After Pushkin

Scope and Content

Material from a box file labelled by EF 'After Pushkin'. Contains a range of papers relating to an anthology of poems edited by EF, After Pushkin, published by the Folio Society and Carcanet Press in 2009 to mark the 200th anniversary of Alexander Pushkin's birth.

The correspondence consists of around 23 letters, two postcards and a number of faxes relating to the anthology and includes letters from a number of the contributors, such as Seamus Heaney and Ted Hughes. There are also TSS, photocopied TSS, and faxed TSS of contributions to the anthology, including poems by Ranjit Bolt, Carol Ann Duffy, Seamus Heaney, Ruth Padel and others. Ted Hughes wrote one of his last poems, 'The Prophet', for the anthology.
