Correspondence files by subject

Scope and Content

While EF stored most of her correspondence in box files based on date, a small number of correspondence files are subject-based - each relating to her planning, research and writing of specific publications, and in some cases letters she received from writers and others in response to those publications. The books represented are her novel Lady Chatterley's Confession (1995) and her biographies, Pushkin (1998) and Ted Hughes: The Life of a Poet (2001). The files include research material and notes as well as correspondence.

This series is arranged broadly chronologically based on the date of each publication represented.
