Loose papers inside a large envelope addressed to 'Miss M. Bateson, 74 Huntingdon Road, Cambridge', postmarked 29 May 1901. The title is written in pencil on the envelope, 'Leicester'. The notes appear to be transcripts of records and accounts of the borough referring to court cases and both financial and property settlements. Most of the notes do not appear to be in Bateson's handwriting and are titled 'H.B. II', perhaps referring to 'Hall Books, Volume II'.
