Loose papers sandwiched between two envelopes, one with a Manchester University stamp and titled 'Leges Burgorum' and one addressed to Mary Bateson, postmarked 1901. Her notes are all written on the back of the notes of others, including student papers on constitutional history written by M.J. Odeh/Odek. The envelope addressed to Bateson contains a reference card, but with no date or indication of what the reference numbers refer to. The content of the notes appear to refer to 12th- and 13th-century history of laws and customs.
