Administrative / Biographical History

The Girl Guides were founded in 1910 by Robert Baden-Powell in response to demand from girls to participate in the Boy Scout movement. The collection held by West Dunbartonshire consists of records from the Dumbarton Guide County dating from 1979 to 1999.
