Lawrence writing from Switzerland. Would have written before to thank her for her letter if it had not been for 'that inertia which I suppose most ex-prisoners experience when the first wild exuberance of release has worn off'. Enjoying fresh mountain air and glad that all their friends are now released from prison. Realised that others would be treated more harshly because they were less well known. All this must be made public, and even House of Commons is beginning to be shocked by idea of forcible feeding. Thanks her for her poem, which he likes very much. 'It has a fine note of battle about it'
