Extract (dated 8 Jun 1910) of a Decree in Chancery

Scope and Content

This records a case between Ernest

Tilson Shaen Carter, Arthur Tilson Shaen

Carter, Francis Tilson Shaen Carter,

Thomas Tilson Shaen Carter, Basil Tilson

Shaen Carter and Gerald Tilson Shaen

Carter, Plaintiffs, and Henry Tilson

Shaen Carter (a person of unsound mind,

represented by George Tilson Shaen

Carter), George Carter himself, Charles

Clements Brooke Capel Hanbury Hardwick

Milward, Elizabeth Sophia Shaen Carter

and George Millward, Defendants.

The case concerns the purchase of the

Watlington Park Estate by John Frederick

Symons Jeune. There appears to have been

some problem relating to the sale, as a

result of which Jeune has been unable to

take possession, and has refused to pay

the remainder of his purchase money

(£18,000). Now Jeune is ordered to pay

the money, and to be allowed to take

possession of the property, and the

other parties are ordered to prepare a

proper conveyance of the property to

him.
