Administrative / Biographical History

Marcross is an ancient parish within the western division of the rural deanery of Groneath Lower in the diocese of Llandaff. It is situated approximately 8 miles south of Bridgend on the coastal boundary of the ancient county of Glamorgan and overlooks the town of Porlock on the Somerset side of the Bristol Channel. The church is dedicated to the Holy Trinity and was supposedly built in the 12th century.
