18 black commercial and white postcards, with envelope containing photographs of the Nara period, 8th century hollow dry lacquer and clay statues of the Hokke-dō (Sangatsu-dō) [法華堂 (三月堂)], Tōdai-ji (東大, Japan). Includes Kongōrikishi (Niō) (乾漆金剛力士立像 kanshitsu kongōrikishi ryūzō); Four Heavenly Kings (乾漆四天王立像 kanshitsu shitennō ryūzō); Fukū Kensaku Kannon (乾漆不空羂索観音立像 kanshitsu fukū kensaku kannon ryūzō); Nikkō Bosatsu (塑造日光仏立像 sozō nikkō butsu ryūzō) and Gakkō Bosatsu (塑造月光仏立像 sozō gakkō butsu ryūzō); and image of the exterior of the Hokke-dō (Sangatsu-dō) temple.
