Scope and Content

Black and white photograph of a group of six women and two men sitting in a garden [at Touls], each with a bowl on their lap, shelling peas. One woman is sitting on a higher chair facing the others who are seated in a row, on a lawn with trees behind. To the right is a dog partially in the picture. With high contrast between light and dark due to over exposure, pasted onto a page in the album, with a manuscript caption on the bottom white edge.

Physical Characteristics and/or Technical Requirements

Fair condition. Yellowed, slight mirroring left, abrasion to surface left centre. Production method: gelatin-silver print.
