Scope and Content

On the right is Miss P[hyllis] Ayrton, a young woman wearing a hat and dark jacket and skirt, carrying a briefcase and a bundle of leaflets. In the left foreground is a young man wearing a cap and neckerchief, in the centre is a man in a bowler hat. Pasted onto a page in the album, with a manuscript caption on the bottom white edge.

Reference: The Suffrage Annual and Women's Who's Who. Ed AJR. 1913. Depicts Miss Phyllis Ayrton, Honorary Secretary of the WSPU, a speaker, and helped in by-elections.

Poor condition. Yellowed scratches to surface bottom right, slight mirroring right. Production method: gelatin-silver print.
