Black and white photograph of a woman [Mary] wearing full length white domestic apron, over a high collared dress, (possibly a servant or nanny's uniform), standing in front of a large country house. A large black dog [Nathaniel] is sitting at her feet, only partly in the picture. Pasted onto a page in the album, with a manuscript caption on the bottom white edge.

Poor condition. Yellowed slightly, discoloured to a brownish tone right, mirroring bottom right quarter, slightly warped. Production method: gelatin silver print.
