Comprises of the minutes of the meetings of the Class for the Study of Architectural Science, 8 June 1874 -16 June 1880, and the Advance Class of Construction and Practice, 10 November 1880 - 26 November 1890.

Administrative / Biographical History

The Class for the Study of Architectural Science was set up in 1874 by members of the Architectural Association, including Walter W. Robertson, H.G. McLachlan, Charles J. Bentley, Henry Tanner and F. P. Johnson, The class was intended to take the position of a senior class to the Class of Construction and Practice and met at 7pm on Wednesday evenings. In 1880 the name of the class changed to become the Advanced Class of Construction and Practice.
