Prince's Road Presbyterian Church Records

Scope and Content

This collection consists of minute books containing minutes of meetings of elders and vestry meetings; registers of members, baptisms, marriages and deaths, Sunday school class registers; transfer books; account books and financial material. Also contains correspondence, files, photographs and printed material such as annual reports and more general documents such as circulars, pamphlets and magazines.

Administrative / Biographical History

Prince's Road Presbyterian Church was founded at Bangor in Gwynedd (formerly Caernarfonshire) in 1880. As material in this collection shows, it was established by those who wanted a church that would have an ethos which was English, and at the same time be connected with the Calvinistic Methodists in Bangor.

Material is arranged in chronological order according to record type and incorporated into the General Collection of Bangor Manuscripts .
