Scope and Content

To Revd. George Marsden in Manchester, regretting that Clarke's poor health prevents him from visiting before at least the beginning of May.

Ina postscript, Clarke describes his hopes that a mission may soon be established in the Hebrides. Brothers. Hector and John McLean have volunteered to work in Mull, which Clarke describes as the "patrimony of my ancestors". Reference is made to the current state of Christianity on the islands.
