From Haydon Hall, Middlesex, to Revd. Samuel Harpur in Drogheda, Ireland, re Clarke's extensive preaching commitments in London, Southampton, and Cowes, accompanied by AE. Clarke is experiencing an upsurge of energy, although this may be a "but a blink before the shower".

He describes his plans to open a new school at Magilligan, but is concerned re the effect that the activities of Clarke's enemies may have on potential subscribers.

Clarke has written on the advice of friends to the Irish Chief Secretary, the Earl of Derby, re the education of the Irish poor, and has received an acknowledgement.
