Jabez Bunting has suffered a serious accident, and the President has asked Clarke to take his place at a district meeting in Carmarthen. He will then continue to Stafford and Liverpool, to raise money for the charity schools, before crossing over to Northern Ireland. He invites Thurston to join him, as he is sure that it will benefit her health.
