Scope and Content

Additional invitations to Rowbotham to write articles, contribute to meetings, courses etc; also, comments on Rowbotham's books or articles, letters asking for help or advice and notes from friends. Other subjects covered by the letters include: Russian women's commitment to syndicalism; the personality of 'SB', an unnamed well known female political figure of the left; the unpublished biography of Helen Crawfurd; Rowbotham's WEA classes; Lily Webb; comments on the evolution of the women's movement by Margery Corbett Ashby; many references to work on Edward Carpenter, both by Rowbotham and others; comments on the Finnish women's movement by Carita Nyström; Dora Russell's comments on the women's movement and her involvement in it. The file also contains a letter to 'Dave' [Dave Widgery], from Roger [Roger Protz] about the Socialist Worker, which discusses Paul Foot and Chris Harman.
