  • Colossus of Roads, relating to engineer Thomas Telford (1757-1834)

  • Exhibitions relating to archaeological drawings and the British School, St Athens

Administrative / Biographical History

Bangor Museum and Art Gallery which is located at Gwynedd Road, Bangor was originally known as the Museum of Welsh Antiquities and based at the University College of North Wales until c. 1967. The University continued to run the gallery and museum until September 1991 when it came under the control of Gwynedd Council.

Arrangement

Material was received on separate occasions, arranged in chronological order and incorporated into the General Collection of Bangor Manuscripts .
