LETTERS TO H.K. CORNISH FROM THOMAS KEBLE AND HIS WIFE ELIZABETH

Scope and Content

Thomas Keble, brother of John, was vicar

of Bisley, Glos., from 1827 until his

death in 1875. He shared his brother's

theological views.

In 1825 he married Elizabeth Jane Clark.

Unfortunately, only four letters supply

the year in which they were written, A

few others can be dated from internal

evidence, but most can only be dated

approximately, if at all.

In the letters, Cornish is referred to

as HKC, Thomas Keble as TK and Mrs.

Keble as EJC.
