Ths includes cuttings relating to: the theatre prior to its 1931 reopening, the appeal for reopening, the reopening, and the early days of the theatre. Other items in the file include: a programme for a performance of 'Hamlet' at the Lyceum Theatre, Strand, London on 22 April 1926 in aid of the Sadler's Wells Fund, programme for 'Twelfth Night' (first performance at Sadler's Wells), signed photograph (postcard) of Harcourt Williams, postcard showing Lillian Baylis 'gazing at the ancient well' at Sadler's Wells and a photograph of a performance.

An article in The Architect & Building News dated 9 Jan 1931 shows the new theatre built by architects Frank Matcham & Co.
