Correspondence, photographs, playbills, programmes, scrips, music score and scrapbook relating to the production of 'The Finsbury Story' shown at Sadler's Wells 20 June - 2 July 1960. A play set to music that showed a series of skits telling the story of various events in Finsbury from medieval times to the 19th century. Sponsored by The Finsbury Borough Council and in co-operation with the Arts Council of Great Britain and the Finsbury Art Group. Produced as part of the 'Finsbury Pageant' help to celebrate the life and times of the Borough of Finsbury. Local schools and community groups contributed to the production.
