Issues of the Old Vic Magazine from 1919 to 1930 (bound volume and loose copies). The Old Vic Magazine was the official newsletter of the Old Vic Theatre and was first published in October 1919 at a price of 2d. It contained various articles about the theatre including about its performances, about the running of the theatre, about artists and other staff at the theatre, about societies connected with the theatre, obituaries, fundraising appeals and diary of performances. From 1925 onwards, there are frequent articles referring to Sadler’s Wells and the fundraising campaign to rebuild it. This includes articles by R.P.P. Rowe and a cartoon (December 1925). The magazine was replaced by The Old Vic and Sadler’s Wells Magazine in 1931.
